(April 2017) PRB staff are participating in several sessions and special activities during the 2017 Population Association of America Meeting at the Hilton Chicago from April 26 through April 29. We encourage meeting participants to visit our booth (#304/306), where PRB experts will hold Q-and-A style presentations on the PRB policy communication toolkit, using Twitter for social science, and using the World Population Data Sheet online data tool.

We will have a range of PRB products available at the booth, including the 2016 World Population Data Sheet, our Population Bulletins, our popular Data Wheels, PRB pens, and more.

Please also consider making a donation to PRB while visiting the booth to help us continue to make all of our products publicly available to all!

Mark S. Mather, associate vice president of U.S. Programs at PRB, kicks off our activities on Wednesday, April 26 as a co-presenter in a workshop, “Census and ACS in the Classroom” to be held at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Later Wednesday during the Welcome Mixer in the Exhibit Hall you can sing along with the video of Mark’s “Population Song.”

On Thursday, April 27 at 6:30 pm, PRB will co-host the Applied Demography Reception with the Committee on Applied Demography in the Lake Michigan room.

On Friday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m., we will launch a new report about addressing the growing noncommunicable disease epidemic.
